We’re currently seeking qualified candidates for a Content Designer. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving consistent design of audio, visual, and text content across our digital platform. Critical functions of the Content Designer include supporting storyboard processes and updating content format structures to enhance user experience and learning retention. Audiovisual quality control (QC) of digital content in alignment with ReachMD’s Brand Voice and Tones is a core foundation for this role.
With an ever-increasing volume and diversity of competitive content offerings in the health education market, the lifecycle of today’s content requires fresh and innovative design strategies from conceptualization to publication. Successful applicants will therefore demonstrate strong aptitude for working creatively and collaboratively with producers, production engineers, content developers and editors, marketers, and subject matter experts representing a broad range of medical specialty interests.
What a day in the life of a ReachMD Content Designer looks like:
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintaining consistent audiovisual quality control (QC) across video, audio, and text media formats.
- Copywriting & copyediting support for content, production, marketing, and PR stakeholders.
- Instituting effective content design strategies for ReachMD media projects:
- Storyboarding standards and processes
- Facilitating design work sessions
- Brand Voice, Tones, & Style compliance
- Ensuring that all ReachMD media productions meet educational objectives.
- Translating dense, technical academic information into engaging, persuasive messages.
- Working collaboratively with content development teams across editorial, CME, and promotional education categories.
- Researching current and developing standards of journalistic, academic, and broadcasting communications.
- Coordinating programming schedule updates on ReachMD radio networks.
- Monitoring user behaviors and making data-driven change recommendations.
- Assisting commercial marketing and PR messaging efforts.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to engage target audiences.
What we expect from qualified candidates:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent, with a concentration in Journalism, English, or Communications desired.
- Experience in communications and/or clinical healthcare settings is recommended.
- Demonstrate exceptional written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of English grammar and Chicago/AMA standard style guides.
- Have a strong interest in the medical field and healthcare professional education.
- Maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Understand content strategies and trends that will guide engagement.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities.
- Be flexible and independent while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively with staff, talent, clients, and vendors.
- Demonstrate proficiency in creating and adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Be able to travel and work extended hours as needed.
- Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
