Avenue Live, a subsidiary of US HealthConnect, is a turnkey event planning and live event production comp any providing full-service event planning, audio, video, lighting, live streaming, and staging services for a wide range of both live and virtual events across the US and internationally.
The Driver and AV Equipment Technician candidate would join a growing highly technical and innovative team of project managers and technicians managing and supporting live, hybrid and virtual events. The ideal candidate must be willing to spend approximately 75% of their time driving and be willing to travel for brief periods ranging from 10 to 20 days on the road or 1-5 shows per month. Additionally, the candidate must either possess or be willing to obtain a Class B CDL driver's license within 3 months of hire. They should ideally have a background in audio-visual equipment operation and preparation.
What a day in the life of a Driver and AV Equipment Technician looks like:
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Driving vans and trucks up to Class B CDL
- Spending 10-20 days on the road per month
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Electronically scanning equipment on a pull sheet
- Prepping and packing equipment
- Equipment QC and repairs
- Driving vans and trucks up to Class B CDL
- Using an ELD to log driving hours, fuel stops and breaks
- Setting up and operating audio-visual equipment
What we expect from qualified candidates:
- Possesses, or willing to obtain, a Class B CDL driver’s license within 3 months of hire
- Comfortable with traveling domestically - up to 75% of time will be spent traveling
- Must be comfortable with spending 10-20 days on the road per month
- Willing to submit to pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol screenings
- A clean driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand an equipment pull sheet both digitally and in hard copy
- Highly organized with the ability to operate independently with little supervision
- Ability to operate comfortably in high pressure situations
- Basic understanding of electronics, computer technology, networking, and/or low voltage systems
- Ability to multitask, attention to detail, and previous experience in live production business a plus
- Background in technology, technical theater, music/performing arts, event production, video/audio/lighting
- Always seeking for areas to improve
- Supporting and assisting the entire team in any way possible

Typical Physical Demands:
Frequent use of hands to manipulate office equipment, phones and computer keyboard. Regularly lift and move heavy equipment up to 100 pounds and maneuver wheeled cases up to 300 pounds. Occasional handling of palletized shipments with a pallet jack.
